Education
Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees attained from the University of Western Ontario. Postgraduate training in Plastic Surgery was also completed at the University of Western Ontario.
Fellowships
The endoscopic approach used in cosmetic operations allows a surgeon to rejuvenate the mid-face (cheek) and brow using very small and hidden incisions. It is occasionally referred to as scarless surgery. Dr. Ford acquired his endoscopic skills while working with pioneering surgeon Dr. Oscar Ramirez in Baltimore Maryland. Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta Georgia, is a group practice renowned for developing a scientific approach to cosmetic eyelid surgery. While at Paces Plastic Surgery, Dr. Ford worked with Drs. Roderick Hester, Mark Codner, Sonny McCord and Foad Nahai. This experience has allowed Dr. Ford to attain predictable and natural results when performing blepharoplasty surgery. He accepts referrals from other plastic surgeons for blepharoplasty surgery, and to correct complications arising from prior cosmetic eyelid and midfacial surgery.
Introduction
Dr. Ford is a certified plastic surgeon whose practice is focused on cosmetic surgery. In addition to general cosmetic surgery, he has specialized expertise in blepharoplasty and endoscopic (minimal incision) surgery. Dr. Ford’s primary office is located at 199 Avenue Road, an accredited private surgical facility in the Yorkville region of Toronto.
Research and Presentations
Multiple plastic surgery journal articles and text book chapters authored and coauthored. Topics include aesthetic facial, eyelid and breast surgery; presentations on cosmetic surgery given nationally and internationally.
Teaching
Dr. Ford has the privilege teaching cosmetic surgery to plastic surgery residents through the University of Toronto Aesthetic Surgery Program. He has been invited to present research on cosmetic surgery both nationally and internationally. He has also served as an instructor, teaching cosmetic endoscopic surgery skills to other plastic surgeons from around the world.
