Leg Veins
Spider veins, or telangietasias, are those small red, blue and purple blood vessels that appear as we age. The leading cause of spider veins is heredity, pregnancy, hormone changes, obesity, sun exposure and aging. Spider veins can be treated with laser whereas larger veins require traditional methods such as sclerotherapy or surgery.
MDAesthetics uses a Nd-Yag laser which is particularly suited to treatment of small veins of the legs and face. Blood vessels absorb light energy, become heated causing coagulation and are subsequently absorbed by the body. Multiple treatments may be required depending on the area and severity of the problem.
