Face
Sagging
Ultherapy utilizes precisely focused ultrasound for facial skin tightening and lifting. This is a non-surgical no down time procedure (as featured on Dr. Oz) that is performed in-office for women and men who have noticed that their facial skin is sagging but they are not ready for surgery.
Ultherapy is a good option for people with minimal sagging or for those who had a face lift years earlier and desire a slight re-tightening. It is suitable for all skin types. Of the 4,000 patients from around the world who have been treated with Ultherapy, 9 out of 10 experienced noticeable improvement. It can help lift, tighten and firm the jaw line, neck and cheeks, improve skin laxity and reduce hooding on the upper eyelid, and provide a more open and refreshed overall appearance.
Ultherapy: How it works
Ulthera™, an ultrasound device approved by the FDA to lift sagging skin, is a first-of-its-kind technology because it utilizes ultrasound energy on the face and neck to lift and tighten the skin. An in-office 60 minute procedure, this technology uses ultrasound to send sound waves below the skin surface causing tissue to contract and new collagen to form. The treatment triggers the body's own regenerative response. Skin tissue firms, tightens and lifts over time without disrupting the top layer of skin so patients experience minimal risk and no downtime. It is important to note that this procedure is not intended to replace a surgical face lift.
What to expect
Treatment lasts approximately 60 minutes. Topical numbing creams are applied prior to treatment and a Zimmer Cooling System, a device that releases a continuous flow of chilled air, is used during treatment to maximize patient comfort. Many clients see and feel a difference in their skin immediately however because results rely on rebuilding the supportive collagen fibre network within the skin, the full effect will only be realized after 90 days.
